Don't Break The Law, Kids

Kids, please don't break the law. And definitely don't document your unlawfulness on social media. Good luck denying that you committed the crime if you took a selfie while committing said crime.

"That's a lesson a Tennessee man is learning after being arrested for "reckless endangerment" for climbing the Brooklyn Bridge for a selfie.

David Karnauch, a 21-year-old engineering student at the University of Tennessee, was arrested Monday and is being held in a Chattanooga jail as a "fugitive from New York," according to local reports.

Karnauch took the selfie of himself on the bridge before the Fourth of July weekend earlier this summer.

"You could just get on a beam and it actually had handrails on the left and right side, and I just walked across the bridge and turned around to take a picture,” he told WNBC-TV in Chattanooga.

“I don’t recommend anybody else do it. It’s not a smart thing to do because I know they take security on the bridges seriously.”

Obviously knowing security is serious did not stop Karnauch from going for the photo.

He had previously documented several other selfies on top of various bridges, buildings and monuments, according to WBIR. Karnauch has since deleted his Instagram account."

I'll give him props for not being afraid of heights, but come on, kid! Don't go breakin' the rules. And stop it with the selfies already, you're not Kim K.
