Hey Guys! I’m Colby. I just joined the team as a Social Media Intern at Imagine Media, and I could not be more excited to spend the semester here!
I am originally from New Jersey but the constant snow and freezing temperatures were just not for me! So I jumped at the opportunity to attend the University of Georgia and join the cheerleading team to cheer on the Bulldogs. Probably the most impulsive decision I’ve ever made, but also the best one. I am definitely a NYC girl at heart but have found a new love for the South. Not only did coming to Georgia lead me to my best friends and helped me discover who I was, but the South also introduced me to queso and Chick-fil-A (thank you!)
I am finishing up my last semester at UGA studying Sports Management specializing in Marketing and Media. While I have been a dedicated sports fan my whole life, my passion for new media and the growing social media industry has given me new options for the future. Football will always be my #1 love, but I have also always had a creative side that I am finally getting to put to good use! I love to paint and draw all different things, and I love finding cool artwork and graffiti while running outside!
Balancing school, cheerleading, and work definitely keeps me busy but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I set high goals for myself and I strive to accomplish them to the best of my ability each and every day. I love to constantly be moving, working, and challenging myself. With the little down time I have I tend to “Netflix & Chill” with a huge bag of popcorn, or try new healthy food recipes. On the weekends my friends and I like to travel to different cities (Hello, Nashville), but you’ll most likely find us chatting on a patio somewhere. Contrary to being a workout fanatic, I am also the biggest foodie. I will try and taste anything you put in front of me. I love exploring new places, and trying the newest trendy restaurants in any city…at this point I could probably write a book!
I am excited for my creativity and avid use of social media to be put to good use during my time here at Imagine Media! I am thrilled for the opportunity to learn and grow personally and professionally…before having to take on the real world after graduation!
