Not only are we feeling let down by the Falcons loss, but Falcons and Patriots fans alike are feeling let down by the this year's lineup of commercials. It’s hard to say if the lack of amusement stemmed from the fact that commonly funny advertisers like Doritos and Butterfingers did not participate, or because there were no cute animal commercials (Budweiser we’re looking at you). However, some advertisers were able to pique our interest. In no particular order, here are our 5 favorite commercials:
Thanks to this commercial we no longer have to question the pronunciation of the low-calorie, antioxidant filled drink, Bai. The commercial starts off with Christopher Walken reciting the lyrics to N’Sync’s hit, “Bye Bye Bye.” With that being said, it was only fitting that Justin Timberlake made an appearance.
The best leaked secret this Super Bowl is that avocados from Mexico have good fat. This satire filled commercial was just what we all needed to keep things lighthearted.
This commercial told the story of Adolphus Busch’s journey from Germany to St. Louis. This is arguably one of the most polarizing commercials due to the fact that Americans are currently divided on the topic of immigration.
As we mentioned, there were no cute animals featured this year, but this had to have pulled on your heart-strings. Audi effectively advertised that they are committed progress and that part of what progress means to them is equal pay #DriveProgress
The Kia advertising team took the humor approach by starring Melissa McCarthy in their eco-friendly, “Hero” commercial. Can I get a "save the whales!?"
