It's 2016 and Facebook is officially with the times!
In May of this year, Facebook launched their 360° feature. Users can post 360° photos straight from their phones! Facebook 360° is a great way for users to have fun with their personal accounts by posting photos of them showing off their new house or interesting location. For brands, it is another opportunity to interact with their followers. Show off your location like the 360° post to the left, give followers a chance to see an event they couldn't attend, or even get creative and challenge them to a scavenger hunt! Whatever you decide to use Facebook 360° for make sure you have fun with it! Need a little help to get you started? I have listed two ways to upload your 360° photo.
1. Panorama: Take a panorama on your phone camera. Log into your Facebook page and upload the panorama like you would any other photo. The 360° graphic should appear to let you know that it will show as a 360° photo to your followers. Note: The panorama option will only allow viewers to move left and right.
2. Google Street View: Download the Google Street View app in your app store (FREE). Once the app has installed into your phone, open up the app and go to the camera on the bottom right of your screen. Position yourself and follow the orange dots until the check mark is complete. The check mark will light up green when you have hit all of your marks. Log into your Facebook page and upload the Google Street View photo you just took that should automatically be saved in your photos. The 360° graphic will appear to let you know that it will show as a 360° photo to your followers. Note: It is best to move slower and less as possible when using the app to take your photo for a better result.
