Only a few weeks ago, Instagram released a new polling feature for Instagram Stories. This week, Facebook has followed suit — now when users update their Facebook status, they have the option to create a two-answer poll. Additionally, Facebook allows the polls to include photos or GIFs to be paired with each option.
Similarly to Instagram, the polls aren’t anonymous, and so a person’s vote will be visible to the poll creator as well as anyone else who voted.
We’re looking forward to seeing the many ways polls are utilized on the platform. Our first thoughts are that these would be great for businesses that release new designs or products on a frequent basis — customers could vote on which product should be released first.
