They say you cannot pour from an empty cup. Learning how to juggle self-care and all the other areas of your life that you pour energy into is necessary to feel balanced. For our latest Double Tap the Keg event, we welcomed wellness professionals to the Imagine Media Studio to chat about fitness, nutrition, how to manage stress and other topics related to both mental and physical wellness. The Imagineers were so grateful for the opportunity to network with a community of local health and fitness enthusiasts.
The evening kicked off with drinks and socializing sponsored by Edwin + Sons Cocktail Co. and Eagle Rock Distributing. Attendees also had the opportunity to enjoy free chair massages provided by FitSpot Wellness. Our panel discussion was preceded by a guided meditation from Tiffany Andras-Myers of A Mindful Heart Yoga. Even after a few delicious cocktails, the meditation was beautifully led and set the tone for the peaceful and honest atmosphere that followed.
Our incredible panel of professionals included to Sammy Courtwright, Kristianna George and Leslie Zinn. Each panelist brought their unique expertise to the discussion, which provided a variety of opinions and methodology in their approach to wellness.
Sammy is the co-founder and COO of Fitspot, a technology-enabled wellness provider. Sammy graduated from the University of Miami and is originally from Australia. She has successfully scaled Fitspot across 20 markets, bringing wellness to over 30 million square feet of workspace. Sammy shared her knowledge of corporate wellness and how to integrate wellness technology into large company cultures.
Kristianna is a health and wellness coach who empowers working professionals to create healthy habits for a fulfilling life where self-care is non-negotiable. As a certified health and wellness coach through Emory University, she works with clients to help them break free from limiting beliefs and create sustainable habits for a healthier way of living. Kristianna explained how through a holistic approach to health, goal setting, in-depth action planning and mindset work, she encourages her clients to create healthy habits they will want to keep in the long run.
Our third panelist, Leslie Zinn, is the daughter of Arden (as in Arden’s Garden!). She grew up drinking all sorts of nutritional concoctions, which instilled a deep-seated passion for health and nutrition at a young age. Leslie became CEO of Arden’s Garden in 1999, with a mission to make healthy and affordable products convenient to the public. Leslie shared her journey to a vegan diet and the benefits she has experienced along the way.
The audience walked away with a wealth of information and important takeaways for how to incorporate mindfulness and wellness into their daily life. We’d like to thank everyone who attended our Double Tap the Keg event. Keep a lookout for more networking opportunities in our Imagine Media Studio!
