In our previous blog post, we took a look at the difference between customer personas and target audience. Let’s take a deeper look at what a breakdown of these would look like using something we can all relate to: sweets!
First let’s review:
Target Audience: The big picture of who will be buying your product or services. This includes demographic information like income and location.
Customer Persona: The smaller-scale category that transforms your target audience from a set of facts into living breathing personas you can build relationships with.
To better understand the two, let’s bring candy into the picture. Our target audience is the entire jar of hard candies and our customer personas are the individual flavors within the jar! Let’s take a look.
