What: Following Facebook’s announcement about lower page reach, LinkedIn announced a revamp of their long-standing ‘Groups’ feature. The update will include better navigation, more notification options and the ability to post videos in Groups.
Why: LinkedIn’s Groups have seen mixed success with users and marketers and are criticized as spammy. The new updates are poised to increase the value of Groups and, given the timing of the announcement, seem to be targeting businesses worried about their future success on Facebook.
