1. Video Content
From live videos to stories, video content on every social platform is growing in popularity, and in 2019 it’s expected to expand and dominate the social markets.
Most of the content will be stories and live videos, as they have taken social networks by storm over the past couple of years and are soon moving to YouTube as well. These videos give viewers an authentic window into the life of the user or brand, making them more trustworthy.
Social media influencers have become a huge trend with brands. Users have made millions of dollars by marketing themselves on social channels growing a large following and partnering with brands.
As prices for big-time influencers skyrocket, micro-influencers have also become quite popular. Micro-Influencers are people who have fewer have 10,000 followers and are experts in the brand they are marketing or in a niche community. To be able to market directly to a large portion of your target audience by finding micro-influencers saves time and money you would spend on other marketing efforts.
3. Community Management
Real-time communication is valued when users engage with big businesses on social platforms. The upcoming social trend in marketing will be chatbots, constant monitoring of social media and 24/7 customer support.
Consumers never stop talking about your product, so if you are able to respond to them in real-time it makes the user feel heard. When you are not able to monitor social channels, setting up chatbots to respond to basic questions will filter out less critical questions.
Working in the marketing industry, I cannot wait to see which trends rise quickly throughout 2019, and which ones have the most a significant effect on social accounts. In 2019, many things will change for social media, as they usually do, what are you hoping to see?
